Job Summary
We are seeking a dedicated and skilled OTR (Over-the-Road) Driver to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for transporting freight across long distances, ensuring timely deliveries while adhering to safety regulations. This role requires proficiency in operating various types of trucks, including refrigerated trailers and tractor-trailers, while maintaining a high level of professionalism and customer service.
Responsibilities
- Operate and drive a variety of trucks, including refrigerated trailers, tractor-trailers, dump trucks, and roll-off trucks.
- Safely transport freight to designated locations following planned routes.
- Conduct pre-trip and post-trip inspections of the vehicle to ensure safety and compliance with regulations.
- Maintain accurate logs of driving hours, delivery times, and vehicle maintenance.
- Communicate effectively with dispatchers and customers regarding delivery schedules and any issues that may arise during transit.
- Adhere to all traffic laws and safety regulations while on the road.
- Assist in loading and unloading freight as needed.
Requirements
- Valid commercial driver’s license (CDL) with a clean driving record.
- Proven experience in truck driving or delivery driving, preferably with refrigerated trailers or freight transportation.
- Knowledge of route driving and navigation skills to efficiently plan trips.
- Ability to operate heavy-duty vehicles safely and effectively.
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to safety protocols.
- Excellent communication skills for interaction with team members and customers.
- Ability to pass background checks and drug screenings as required by company policy.
